Safety Practices
During times like these, we could all use a little ice cream and reassurance. Marble Slab Creamery is following the guidance of the federal Centres for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and Restaurants Canada regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). The health of our customers and staff is our highest priority.
We have empowered our franchise locations with the information and resources they need to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Marble Slab Creamery has high standards for sanitation, and we have a health training program to ensure these standards are upheld.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Increasing the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing in stores, especially high contact surfaces such as door handles, pin-pads, dining pads and restrooms, so that it is sanitized hourly.
- Reinforcing our existing health and food safety protocols with each store's team such as proper and frequent hand-washing and ensuring employees who are feeling ill stay home and seek medical attention. Providing hand sanitizer stations throughout the store.
- Removing communal utensils and paper marketing materials to be behind the counter such as straws, napkins, spoons and cake ordering catalogues to avoid multiple hand contact.
- Making it easier for a touchless experience through our third party delivery partners Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats and DoorDash.
